Pat Langer's Oatmeal Toffee Bars

1 3/4 sticks butter, melted (14 T.)

4 c. old-fashioned oatmeal

1 c. brown sugar

1 c. white sugar

1 t. salt

1 1/2 t. vanilla extract

6 oz. (at least) chocolate chips, melted

1/2 c. peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Combine butter, oatmeal, brown and white sugars, salt and vanilla extract.

Pack into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Cool slightly.

Combine chocolate chips with peanut butter, and use to frost the bars.
